This coffee was gifted to us still sealed from origin and rested quietly in our freezer for a couple of months before the timing felt right to share it. Grown as Typica Mejorado — genetically a spliced hybrid of Bourbon and Ethiopian landrace varieties, and a sibling to the famed Sidra — this lot gets a careful hand harvest and a light anaerobic washed fermentation that lets its natural character shine through. Ecuadorian coffee is having a real moment right now, and this cup shows exactly why.
