The farm sits at 1859-1920 MASL over 6 hectares, 4 being planted with coffee. This lot is a separation of Pink Bourbon harvested over six days from September 22-27th, 2025. Though only his second season selling coffee as a microlot, Reinaldo has consistently produced some of the most dynamic coffees we taste, and this was our highest-scoring Pink Bourbon from the season. The cup is intensely ripe and jammy, showing notes of nectarine, mango, and orange blossom layered with rose florals and a candy-like sweetness.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eReinaldo was born and raised in San Agustin, where he developed a deep love for the countryside. He met his wife, Doña Mariela, at 22, and as they started a family, they acquired more land to focus on coffee farming. In 2016, they planted their first pink bourbon trees after hearing about the variety’s potential for quality. After years of selling coffee locally without traceability, Reinaldo began searching for better markets. Farmers here grow coffee at elevations of 2,000–2,100 MASL on small forested plots, some as small as 0.1 hectares. Within the town lies the Eva Washing Station, where this lot was processed. This marks our first Ethiopian coffee from the new harvest, processed in December 2025.The cup is refreshing and clean, showcasing everything we love about Ethiopian coffees. At 1,750 MASL, Solomon grows SL-34 and Ruiri 11. This AB separation was harvested between October and December 2025, marking our first Kenyan arrival of the new season. The cup is ripe and vibrant, with a syrupy sweetness and a fresh  acidity. We’re finding notes of clementine, red berries, and currants, with the structured sweetness we love from great Kenyan coffees.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhile most of the coffees we purchase from Kenya come through cooperative washing stations, this is one of the first single-estate lots we’ve worked with from the country. Solomon is doing deeply thoughtful work at Ibonia, focusing on small lot separations by harvest date and maintaining older SL plant stock alongside Ruiri 11. Her work consistently produces some of the most expressive and memorable coffees we taste each year, and we feel lucky to share it. This harvest carries big florals layered with tropical fruit, with an elegant and complex profile of bergamot, orange sherbet, and peach.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-end=\"347\" data-start=\"0\"\u003eDiana is the sister of Yivier, whose Caturra we have also purchased in the past. When they were young, their father, Orlando, gave each of them a small plot of coffee as a lesson in responsibility and independence. Through that experience, Diana learned the foundations of careful farming: crop management, plant health, and long-term planning. Later, Diana met her partner, Jhonathan, who was working on Orlando’s farm, and when she turned 18, her father entrusted her with a plot of her own. They began with just 600 trees and, over time, took over a small group of Gesha plants from Yivier’s farm that were struggling. What Diana has built from those plants continues to impress us year after year. We’re excited to share this tiny lot, gathered over just a few days of picking, and to continue highlighting the remarkable work she is doing in San Agustín\u003c\/p\u003e\nCherries are picked at peak ripeness every three weeks.
